FLCL always reminds me of how hard it was growing up as a young person, full of hormones, bewildered at why adults did what they did, and mostly just absolutely lost at how to deal with my big brother's ex-girlfriend and the new Martian girl who moved into town.

OK maybe not that last part - but this show definitely captured so much of the essence of adolescence!
